ABOUT RAIDHO
Raidho represents both external and internal journeys, reflecting mankind's perpetual spiritual quest. Raidho symbolizes a chariot wheel and the rider, embodying themes of destiny, self-transformation, and inner guidance.
In the Norse pantheon, the goddess Saga plays an important role as the preserver of tales and chronicler of histories. She is an expert seeress and storyteller who communicates directly with Odin. Saga's association with poetry and communication reflects the Viking reverence for these arts, possibly elevating her status among the gods. Saga most closely connects with the Raidho as she uses storytelling to take others on a journey.
Goats symbolize resilience and integrate with the Raido rune as they serve an important role in transporting Thor, the son of Odin, across the nine realms. Thor’s goats, Tanngrisnir and Tanngnjostr, underscore Thor's connection to the earth and its creatures, communicating to others his role as a protector.
Similarly, the plant mugwort is also linked with Thor and possesses protective and healing qualities, serving as a talisman against evil spirits. In some traditions, mugwort is believed to facilitate communication with spirits or ancestors. Its use in rituals or ceremonies is often associated with enhancing psychic abilities and promoting clarity of thought, making it a tool for spiritual exploration and connection. Like Raidho, these qualities found in Saga, the goats, and mugwort, all provide insight, protection, and guidance on one’s journey, whether physical or spiritual.
